Prof. Olivier Traxer is Professor of Urology at Sorbonne University and a senior urologist at Tenon Hospital in Paris, one of France’s leading academic centers. After completing his training in general urology in Paris, he pursued a research fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas under Professors Charles Y.C. Pak and Margaret Sue Pearle, where he specialized in endourology and the management of kidney stone disease. This international experience strongly shaped his clinical and research career, establishing him as a reference in flexible endoscopy and modern stone treatment. Prof. Traxer is deeply committed to advancing the understanding and management of urinary stone disease. His work focuses on improving surgical outcomes, refining flexible endoscopic techniques, and promoting evidence-based endourology. He has contributed extensively to scientific research, international teaching programmes, and surgical training initiatives. Recognized as one of Europe’s foremost experts in flexible ureteroscopy, he regularly leads specialized masterclasses and workshops, including those conducted with EMS, helping train the next generation of endourologists worldwide. Chair of the EAU Endurology Section who organize The Annual ICE meeting.
