This two‑day course combines didactic presentations with live surgical cases focused on stone management, covering PCNL and ECIRS techniques. Led by Stijn Roemeling, MD, PhD, the program offers practical insights, demonstrations of essential surgical steps, and best‑practice recommendations.
A key feature of the course is the emphasis on performing PCNL and ECIRS in a hybrid operating room, enabling high‑precision imaging, optimized workflow, and enhanced procedural safety. Participants will gain hands‑on understanding of standardized patient positioning, the use of all required devices and accessories, puncture strategies, and the integration of cone‑beam CT into decision‑making and intraoperative navigation.
The course is designed to provide a comprehensive and reproducible approach to upper tract stone surgery, suitable for urologists aiming to refine their technique and adopt advanced endourological workflows.
Equipment to be used in the OR: The Swiss LithoClast® Quattro solution combining Swiss LithoClast® Trilogy and LaserClast® Thulium Power.
